The best way to learn the game of basketball is to learn the skills, practice the skills, then apply the skills
SFBA provides youth basketball training sessions that combine 60 minutes of skills training / competition drills with 30 minutes of scrimmage time. By utilizing this format we're able to teach valuable basketball skills, apply the required dose of competition to each drill, and allow kids to immediately utilize these skills in live scrimmages. The connection between learning skills and knowing how to use the skills is often the missing piece when it comes to basketball development.
